Natural African American Hair in Los Angeles?

Where can I go in the Los Angeles area to get my hair styled? I'm a female African American teen off to college and I won't be able to straighten my hair that often, so I need to learn ways to wear it naturally. I usually just pull it back into a pony tail (poof), but I would love to find someone who can style my hair. Apparently it is starting to break because I pull it back so often, so I'd love to wear it down. I need a stylist who will use products or cut it in a way that makes it managable. Please help.
