What do i tell my hairdresser if i want extremely thinned out hair without a lot of layers?

what should i tell the hairdresser if i want really thinned out hair kinda like the bottom of scene hair, but i don't want that much poof on top. is that possible? i want hair very thin because its getting hot and if i get layers... will that make my hair look even thicker?
