Blocked by friend or facebook?

one day my friends avatar picture suddenly disappeared frm my facebook postings..meaning im blocked so she said she didnt block me it was facebook...she said facebook had blocked a few people on her friends list cause maybe they thought she was spamming. so is she lying or could be facebook playing up?? all i know is she made 3 comments on my postings then poof her avatar disappeared.
