How can I get the deodorant residue clean from my underarms?

It doesnt matter what soap I use, rag or poof, the residue won't come off! i've tried different brand deodorants too. If you've experienced this problem and found a solution please share your findings. If you want to say, that's gross, don't bother. thank you.
