Beetle restoration...Where to start?

If your looking to get it on the road i would defiantly start with the mechanical stuff first, atleast it would be dependable to drive in, and if your going to be installing new parts you dont want to take the risk of scracting the pretty new paint job or getting grease all over it, i would worry about looks last.
